We're back from a weekend where I hope you all got a lot accomplished and didn't melt away. All you guys talking about 118 degrees makes me glad that Illinois only gets a 100 and in my home state? Well 85 degrees is a heat wave! Fortunately for most of the Midwest, we enjoyed cooler temps this weekend.

Saturday: I worked on my B&M modules. I was able to finish the main road on the first module and got down most of the cracked concrete area for my Murphy's Ford Performance Parts building. I also got the front landscaping hill formed up. I still have a ton of work to do before next Friday's RPM.

Sunday: I fooled around some more with the module but most of my attention was directed to the garage. I had to do some work on Jess which required cleaning the garage. Since it had cooled down, I was able to open everything up and do some domestic house repairs and finish the day by smoking up some butterfly pork chops on the grill.

So how about you? What did you accomplish this past weekend? Let us know. We'll come back here on Friday the 13th to start the process all over again. Until then, have a good week, stay cool and as always...

    High Greens!

Weather in central No. Carolina was actually nice this weekend. Overcast and low humidity Saturday and temps in the mid 70's most of the day. Yesterday was warmer, but still no humidity .. 80's and it was nice. The 90+ sticky stuff is heading back tomorrow.

This weekend I got quite a few cars painted. About 6 ready for decaling. Also got these 5 tanks put together and weathered w/ Polyscale and Modelflex, along w/ weathering powder. They were pre-lettered. Coated them a/ very lite application of Dullcote. I could get spoiled. Weekends aren't enough time. Enjoyed spending this weekend in the workshop, but I'd like the same time in the layout room!

Made some decent progress on decaling the 3 Lark cars I'm working on. The two head end cars are just about done - they need their road numbers on one side. The coffee shop needs stripes and its road number on one side to be done decaling.

I have discovered I do not have enough stripes to complete the train -- I thought I had purchased enough. Going through my decals - I discovered the N-Scale stripes are too narrow for my taste. They are probably close to being scale. The HO decals look better. They match a bit closer to Kato's and Centralia's width. And - they cover up slight variations at the color separations. Micro Scale is on temp back order of the HO scale stripes -- bummer.

Hope Y'all had a great weekend,
    Wolf

It was a good modeling weekend for me. I was able to weather and complete the Barite crusher / loader industry on the layout....

Plus I was able to start finishing another batch of Atlas lineside poles....

And worked on the scenery along the front edge of the layout. The map pins are where the poles will go.

I was able to shoot the video Sunday night of my dads layout. It’s part 1 of a two part series showcasing my layout (s) and my inspiration behind my current layout.

I primed my interurbans on Saturday and have been dodging haboobs and monsoon fed rainstorms
