Welcome back to the work week from a snowy and blustery morning in East Central Illinois. Lets see how we did this past weekend.

Saturday: Was a busy day for me. I had commitments at both 10:00 and 5:00, plus a birthday party at 2:00. The spare time I had was spent replacing two old and bad electrical sockets in our bedroom.

Sunday: I spent most of the day updating the progress of the new City Job modules, both on Dave's Layout Party thread and on my own build thread in the N scale forum. I had to take a few more pictures to better explain my build but all in all, I think the thread worked out okay. My goal is to have the next two modules kitted and partially built next weekend. Jared went back to college so before he went, I checked out his car to make sure it was in tip top shape, then waved him goodbye as we may not see him now til May. For the most part however, a quiet weekend.

So how about you? What did you get done this weekend? let us know. We'll assemble again on Friday the 19th where we will start all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and as always...

I managed to finish a long over do project. The propane tank for Valley Oil:

    I also started another project:
Another set of F-7's -- to be black widow.

Hope Y'all had a great weekend,

This was a productive weekend for me. Friday I purchased a new locomotive. A nice Rivarossi Heisler. I also built a log loader. Saturday I finished a pulpwood truck. This was made out of resin and even though it was simple to put together I am not sure I like resin. Pain in the butt to glue together. I finished the weekend by starting a long over due project of building trees. I am trying a different method that’s what I have used in the past using skewers and air filters this time rather than old Christmas trees. Preliminary results look pretty good. These have glue drying then I will trim them and add some ground foam to them.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Did a few Honey Do things. Trying to restore an old lamp. I couldn't find parts locally so that gave me more time for laying ties.
I cut the PC ties a little bit too long but I'm going to live with it. This layout is only a Christmas display.
I've decided to add to install two turnouts. 20180115_203440.jpg 20180115_203511.jpg
