Well it's happened again, another weekend is in the books. How did you do?

With all the track work finished on my three modules, I started my Saturday by using wide strips of cork to be the foundation of the areas that will be covered in either road or concrete slabs. It was a little slow going as I had to do a lot of sanding to get everything flat but things are progressing nicely. Were I to do the modules over, I would have not gone the design I went with but rather would have just laid a 1/8-inch ply that measures 48 inches long by 18 inches wide and mounted it flat to the 1X3 frame work, followed by the sheets of cork. Oh well, live and learn. I still have a lot to do before I can paint the track and start mounting the road and concrete surfaces.

So how about you? What did you get done this weekend? Let us know. We'll come back on Friday the 11th and start the process all over again. Just a short programming note to the Americans here, today is Pearl harbor Remembrance Day, December 7th. Let us not forget those lives lost on that tragic day. Until next time...

A very busy, non-railroady weekend for me, but I did get a few steps further along on a structure for my layout.

Nada zip zilch got done this weekend. Although today my supplies showed up. I have my last two. #8 switches and my throttle pockets. Now to cut cork and glue it down. Hopefully I can get some stuff done. My weekend starts Thursday this week so I will have a couple extra days to do some work on the layout.
