Well, sorry about the absence this past Friday. With me getting last minute orders built and shutting down Wiggin Locomotive Works for the Christmas break, I totally forgot about the Weekend Modeling Plans thread.

Did you miss it? I doubt with the Christmas madness going on, few if any really did any model railroading, but if you did, let us hear about it!

The only thing I got done was to FINALLY get the Christmas train down and running around the tree. Saturday my focus was turned to installing a new starter and battery in my Jeep Cherokee and Sunday was last minute shopping, so other than O27, nothing model railroading happened.

So how about you? Anything? Let us know. An important programming note: The Weekend Modeling Plans Thread will be taking a break in light (no pun intended) of the Christmas Holiday. The Weekend Modeling Plans will return however next Monday the 28th. I hope all of you have a great Holiday, stay safe and...

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!
    HAPPY BOXING DAY!

    High Greens!

Nothing from me. With it being the Holidays and working for a company that contracts to haul mail for the post office, I haven't been in much of a modeling mood. Hopefully after the New Year, I'll be going gung ho!

I gave my wife one of her Christmas presents early (necessity), so she gave me one in return. It's one of those glass-fronted train display cases, which I immediately hung near my layout and filled with locos and rolling stock. She also gave me the thumbs up on pre-ordering some Western Maryland boxcars. :)

All layout plans this past weekend were derailed (!) by a leaking water service line running to the second floor through the ceiling in the front hall. Wet drywall remove, CPVC service lines cut and capped - waiting for the plumber to run new PEX lines from there to the basement and tie in: then to do the ceiling repair . . . .

Yikes. I'm guessing the damage could have been even worse. Ugly enough as is..... :(

having done a lot of construction work over the years I got a good handle on it - and would have done all the work myself this week but I'm the Acting boss in charge this week for the office

No Pics yet, but I finished 1 of 3 SP&S woodchip boxcars. These were made from 40' double sheathed boxcars. Photos soon. Just sold the Nat. de Mexico wooded caboose.
