We're back for another installment of Weekend Modeling Plans. For myself, the weekend started last night as I have today off and will shortly start my drive to Columbus Ohio for the N scale Weekend. My goal this year, rather than take the same stretch of highway I have for the past five years, is to travel cross country on the back roads through small and large towns. Why? Because this time the journey is part of the fun. With RR Atlas in hand, I plan to take the better part of the day exploring points between here and Ohio hoping to find a mainline or two, both active and ghosts. Once in Columbus, my buddy and I will set up the Galesburg City Job and get the N scale Weekend underway.

Saturday: This is the busiest day of this great show. The day will start with us searching out the deals at the many vendor tables before setting up our own for sale items. I've brought a fair amount of items to sell this year, hopefully we are successful. Saturday night the show coordinators will start the door prize for all registered participants. Even my shop has donated a door prize, so someone will get a cool custom painted Reading box car. After the door prize, we gather for a great catered German feast followed by the Auction which is always a good time. After that, I think my buddy and I will find some ice cream and call it a night.

Sunday: A more relaxed atmosphere takes place on Sunday. We plan to run both CB&Q/Santa Fe and maybe a little BN/Santa Fe and of course some switching. Last minute deals will be had and items will be bought. We'll take everything down and pack up around 3:00. The trip home will not be as long as I'll take the interstate home to finish up the weekend.

So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Will I see you at the Ohio N Scale Weekend? Don't be a stranger, stop by the Wiggin Locomotive Works table and Galesburg City Job layout and say hi. I always enjoy putting a face to a screen name. Maybe you are going to other shows, or working on your own modules, structures or maybe just a lazy day of Railfaning. Whatever you wish to do, please share. We'll come back on Monday the 22nd to see how we have done. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

I hope to finish off my version of HWY 101 (Adding HWY signs). After that -- perhaps I will experiment with my new static grass applicator. Try to get a feel for it. It's going to warm up a bit - so, I don't know how long I can work on my layout.

Hope ya'll have an outstanding and safe weekend,
    Wolf

Have lots to do on my layout now that I'm home and able to work on it again. Going to finish installing MT couplers/trucks on some of my older rolling stock that has never seen the layout. Completed about 30 of 50+ so far and then all of my stock will be free of rapido couplers.

Once that's done I hope to finish unpacking everything and get trains running on the layout again!

Wow .. is it the weekend already! I"m falling further behind all the time. Of course, I guess you don't really fall behind on something you want to do, eh?
