Well the station has shut down the pot belly stove and has already installed a window air conditioner unit. Looks like Spring was approximately two days this year. Today is supposed to be 90 degrees! So, grab some iced tea and a chair, circle 'round and lets see what we have planned for the weekend.

Saturday: It's the annual town clean up days, so I've conditioned myself to the fact that very little model railroading will take place. Even though I have a lot of things to finish up for next weekend's Ohio N Scale Weekend, I must be the good husband and clean up, fix and restore some things around the old farm house we call home. I'm hopping that I can get the switch lists done for next weekend Saturday night. The bad news is the software I use to make all my switch lists crashed the other night so now I have to re-build everything from the ground up.

Sunday: More clean up, more repair and more yard work. I won't complain however after the dreadful winter we had here. Sunday morning or evenings goal will be to clean the module track, get the modules ready for transport and device a way to keep the module legs together for transport. Hmmm, sounds like an excuse to go to my favorite hardware store.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Structure work, painting, yard work? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 14th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, keep it safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Have some "office" work to do this weekend checking over a project. That should only be an hour or 2. Rest is train room stuff. More wiring and I also plan some time in the work shop. I have some existing buildings from the old Albemarle Division layout to "spruce up". My NCE Power Cab and programming equipment is scheduled to be delivered today as well. Time permitting, I may start assembling my programming track and gear in the workshop as well. Don't know if I will get the JMRI Decoder Pro downloaded this weekend, but I hope to get all the other programming gear set up for it.

Busy weekend, more train stuff than I can get done, but that is a nice problem I guess.

Trying to get the rest of my "surplus" N listed FS. Get that stuff off my work bench, so I can do other stuff!

Not sure how much I'll get accomplished this weekend.

Saturday: We have my wife's Mother and Brother visiting... before their move back to Ohio.

    Sunday: Being Mother's Day ...

Hope Y'all have a great weekend,
    Wolf

A buddy and I set up our modules in his place last weekend so we can operate this weekend. He is working out the switching program and we should have a third operator. We have a yard, port of Long Beach, and a branchline to keep us busy.

Friday and Saturday I will be working on some of the rolling stock I painted up this past week. They need decals and some need completion at being built.

Sunday is Mother’s Day so nothing getting done there.

Monday I will be installing a PSX circuit breaker and running bus wires for my turn table and rebound house tracks.

Tomorrow I'll be part of the range crew for the Team America Rocketry Challenge. Hard to believe that this was originally planned to be a one-time event, and we're doing the 16th annual one. Beautiful weather, but hot, in the 90's. I'll be mostly on my feet from about 6am until around 5pm. On the bright side, I get to see a lot of cool rockets built by motivated high school students, and at the end of the day is a very good BBQ buffet. Even better, this is one of the highlights of my year.

As noted, Sunday is Mother's Day. I've already done the flowers, and the card is ready to deliver. Other than that, I'll probably be recovering from tomorrow.

Ink Jet decals for a custom paint job for my dad - I've had an ALPS printer since forever but haven't used it in about 10 years and now none of my computers can run the darn thing (the ALPS is not USB and at best can run on XP - I may have a computer in a closet somewhere that can run it but I need to try these Ink Jet sheets to see if they're any good...) The loco shell is soaking in Bestine right now so I hope to have it prepped, sanded and primed by end of day tomorrow.

Got love picking up and working on projects that were started two years ago. Now I’m missing parts

Well - my first experience with inkjet decals was not so bad! I took a lot of care to seal up the decal sheet before attempting to apply. Very impressed that there was no ink-bleed when soaking the decal. Only problem I had was the decal "glue" didn't seem to be that great so I did a mix of diluted white glue/water with a q-tip to get the edges to lay down. This is a hand-painted "throw away" model on one of my early early prototype shells. I'll airbrush the real model when I'm sure I've got this method down...
