We are back for another weekend of modeling plans. Are you ready? I get a head start cause the shop will be closed for the next few Fridays, but today will be devoted to Jess my Jeep. Saturday: I've been doing some research on grade crossings and would like to work on my grade crossing for Henderson on the GCJ. While the current modules will eventually be scrapped or re-purposed, (anyone interested in a three module N scale switching layout?), the purpose is to use the current modules as a proof of concept. This will make the 2.0 modules that much quicker to build. Thanks to modeling by peer pressure, I'm also looking into street lights and populating the scene. Sunday: I also need to work on the New England modules. The Propane dealer I have been working on is going to get side lined because I cannot find any 1970's to 1980's propane cars. So I'll be going through my stash of buildings and see if I have anything that would be acceptable for this spur. So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Track work, scenery, painting? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 11th to see how we all did. Until then, stay safe, have fun and above all... High Greens!
I have a 3 day weekend. Today - We are taking our Grand daughter to Disneyland. Saturday: Recuperate from D-Land - LOL. And, get back to work on the Lark. Sunday: Hopefully, keep working on the Lark. Perhaps, start work on detailing my downtown buildings. Hope Y'all have a great weekend!! Wolf
This weekend... 1. Install Tortoise machines (not wired yet, just get some in, working, and ready for the wiring harnesses) 2. Scenery. I have retaining wall near the front of the layout I'm ready to put in. So, I'll stain the plaster castings I purchased, get 'em set and see how much scenic "blending in" I can do over the weekend. Will definitely have some office work to do, but not that much. We'll see what gets done.
Right now no plans made but I do need to get back to the track work I’ve been neglecting the past couple weeks.
Rusting rail, re-railing the derailed cars from Thursdays storm, and testing the DCC, hoping it's not fried by the lightning. Have too much stuff on track due to the painting and no time to test it yet.
Tinkering with a small yard plan for two 4'x16" modules. These are freemoN based modules so the mainline is centered at each end. I hate the yard led, but a train could be classified with two pulls using the mainline for the initial pulls.
