Hard to believe that June is about over and we are coming into July. Time moves fast. Time to see what we all have on the agenda for the weekend. Saturday: Fresh from a trip back from the land of trains, I must switch gears. Above all, I must pay pittance to the domestic goddess for being away and playing with trains. Yes, that means domestic duties and boy what a list. Installing an air conditioner, a door, seasoning a grill, more food shopping, yard work and garage clean up. IF I'm lucky, I hope to work on the B&M modules. Sunday: With the Galesburg City Job modules down and put away a bit, my attention must turn to modeling New England on my freelance switching module. I've designed it so I can run all that 1970's B&M stuff I've been painting over the years and maybe even sneak in a Vermont Rail locomotive here and there. My main goal this weekend is to finish the servo controlled turnouts and get the main roads for cars built up and start some basic scenery. So how about you? What is on your list for the weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday, July 2nd to see how we all did. Until then, stay cool, have fun and above all... High Greens!
Happy Friday. This is one of those weekends I will be in the train room with no particular "list". Actually, I may be in the workshop more than the train room. What I'll probably do this weekend is: Mount the programming track shelf I've built in the work shop over the computer desk. Break out the air brush and paint some things that need to go on the layout. Paint a couple of plate girders and a few cars, get them ready for decaling. Go in the train room, clean up a bit and run some trains.
Saturday: In the morning I hope to get another color on the Lark cars. For the coffee shop/lounge- Daylight red. For the baggage and RPO - Lark dark gray. In the afternoon - we will have a bunch of 4 year olds over for our granddaughter's birthday party -- fun!! LOL Sunday - more work on the Lark's articulated chair car. Perhaps start on a Pullman or two. Hope Y'all have a great weekend, Wolf
