View attachment 181869 Live from a former Howard Johnson Hotel in downtown Galesburg Illinois, it's Weekend Modeling Plans! Obviously my favorite time of year, my weekend is planned. My buddy Brian and I got in last night from a day of Railfanning the Transcon from Toluca to here. Rail action was busy and we had a good time. Today we plan to go to the depot and explore the museum that is on site before going to the field house and setting up our respective layouts. My comodeler was in Indiana last night and should be here by afternoon to help set up the Galesburg City Job.All in all, a busy weekend of both model trains and prototype. So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend. Let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 26th to see how everyone did. Gonna continue work on my propane unloading facility (Photos shortly). And, perhaps get some work done on my engine servicing facility. Gonna be another "warm" weekend. That's about it. Hope ya'll have a great weekend, Wolf
Actually finished the painting on my two heavyweight passenger cars - still have striping and decals to add. I'm very pleased with how they're coming out.
Just received some more decoders so I'll install those and test run the locos. Going to also try and work on my locomotive facility some more and the track work to the facility. I also got invited to the San Diego model railroad museum by another member to run trains tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to it! Steve Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm really surprised at what a difference the striping makes. Just a little touchup and some decals - maybe some weathering and we're ready to roll ..
I am 30 minutes away from the west gate of Yellowstone in Idaho....my weekend plans is a two day drive back to Arizona....
