I hope you all had a great 4th! After what has been for some of us a short week, we're back. Are you ready for another weekend of model railroading? Saturday: Is my last operations session at my house with the Galesburg City Job. I have a few friends coming over to run the layout in 1977 era as well as partake in brats, beer and a bonfire (don't worry, the modules are not for the bonfire!). While I'm not giving up on operations, I do plan on doing some major revisions as well as an add on module so the layout will be out of service for a bit. Bill and I have been invited to Trainfest again and with my move held off for a bit more, my focus now is to get the layout up to snuff. Hopefully we'll have a fun trouble free session. Sunday: I plan to work on the garage project. While cleaning out the storage unit last week, I found four more legs for modules as well as enough lumbar to build the forth module. I need to sell a lot of Jeep parts and other items I no longer need so I have room in my air conditioned garage to work as well as park the vehicles. So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know! We'll be back on Monday the 10th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay cool and as always... High Greens!
Hoping to get this beauty painted up for my new modules. I got it for $50 at a garage sale near my house. Several other items were also bought. There were a lot of HOn3 models, which were cheap as well, but I passed them by. Apparently a local enthusiast had passed on and his family wanted them gone.
We have our granddaughter this weekend -- so, I doubt I will get any model railroading in, this weekend. Ya'll have a great weekend, Wolf
@Jim Wiggin - good luck on the garage work. Mine is still recovering from our recent move . . . - I now have 1/4 of my work bench cleared again. The Crescent City Model Railroad Club in New Orleans has their summer open house tomorrow. Thats all the train related work I have planned, what with a wedding anniversary night out Saturday with the wife, and Domestic Duties Day (D3) on sunday.
May mount tortoise machines, wire some track, maybe put down some plywood. This actually will be one of those weekends I have no clue what I'm going to do until tomorrow morning while sipping the first cup of coffee, when whatever "fancy" strikes me.
Going to try and work on some of the facilities and track in my yard. I have a locomotive shop I built and another smaller one I may use as a car shop that need to be placed on the layout. I have to do the track for them too! Going to the Pomona Train show on either Saturday or Sunday, haven't decided which day yet. Steve Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
