Welcome back everyone. The weekend is upon us and with it brings the promise of the continuation of projects and maybe a few new ones. Saturday: Work. Sunday: I just found out about a Train show about an hour west of me. I would really like to go as the last train show I went to was the Decatur Train Fair last September. It is going to be in the 90's so I'm still not totally convinced I will go or not. Any time away from other domestic duties will be spent on research of my next switching layout. So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 27th to see how we all did. Until then, be safe, be healthy and as always... High Greens!
I have no specific plans for the weekend. Just gonna play it by ear. Although the train show that Jim mentioned sounds tempting. Would anyone have the details on it? Jim?
My wife is house sitting for our Daughter - so..... I should finish up my SW8 and SW900 projects. Start window treatments for Oxnard's downtown buildings. Y'all have a great and safe weekend, Wolf
Scenery. Not sure. Probably be some miscellaneous structures and scenery work. I have the time and no specific plan. So again, I'll wander in the train room at 7:00AM with coffee and figure it out.
We are likley to get a ton of rain this weekend form the latest tropical depression in the Gulf so I may get spared the weekly grass battle. The wife's birthday is Sunday, so if any train action occurs it will likely be tonight or tomorrow. Drinking coffee right now to see what inspires me.
Sherman Illinois, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Sherman Athletic Club. Early admission at 9:00 is $10.00, $5.00 per adult after 10:00, Children under 10 are free.
Tonight hopefully, and Saturday - Finish up the flatbed I started last week. May manage to get the scenic divide reinstalled. Have some filler autos to finish up. Not sure what else. Sunday - No trains most likely. Planning a trip to Chattanooga to work on the old homestead. That is one project I can't wait to finish and get rid of.
Late train again this week, may be asleep most of the day Saturday. This was supposed to be the weekend I got a visit from the local NMRA boys. They cancelled it and will do the visit remotely. So my plans were to play with my new throttle and work on the module. Time to start ballasting track and doing ground cover.
Please share your thoughts on the new throttle. I like the latest version of Zephyr and this looks like a similar interface. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Let's see. Got the last of eight boxcars upgraded, including reporting marks. Ran out of printer ink after the first four so had to wait for a Tuesday outing to pick them up. Got to go into the store to get them! Had one with repair issues now done. Currently fabricating parts and components for the shifter rework (again ), two cabooses, a mogul and an OB wood boxcar. Plenty on the platter. Had to do chores earlier today. Running me late for The Omega Scale Railway needs listed above. As stated above, "High Greens" and be well.
Two nice packers and a couple turkey breasts going on the smoker in the morning and about 30 guests coming over for my annual summer bash. This will probably lead to a late start on Sunday but I hope to get some more benchwork built. -Denis-
These came in the mail today. I'll have to see if I get some time to throw them together. I also have a Tangent Roma Wines tank car on the way.
I hope to finish putting the last of the rolling stock away so I can start remaking the layout. I may start to pull up trees.
No modeling this weekend. Will be at Van Wert OH for a train show both Saturday and Sunday. Have to load up and set up T-Trak and a door layout with club.
My youngest daughter is moving out so I will build her room in the trackplan software. After 6 years without a layout I think I will build in the house rather than the garage. The expense and work to further improve the garage space has held up any progress. So rather than a hot and dirty 20'x18' garage space I will have a 12'6"x10' room with ac for my N scale fun. It could be a blessing in disguise as the smaller space may help keep the layout more manageable.
