Well here we are again. Coming into the final stretch of the work week, with our eyes firmly set on the weekend. Now let's see what we have planned. Saturday: Is the big day for me. I plan to purchase the necessary Baltic Birch plywood panels today before work so I can fire up the table saw tomorrow. Naturally, I'll need to move Jess outside and straighten up the garage first since I last used it to work on the Christmas display. Once that chore is done, I'll be documenting my construction of the modules for future reference. I'm also planning on building the first half of my 1/32 scale Scalextric slot car track which will be in the room just outside of the layout room. I really hope to have at least the two module bases done with leg construction starting on Sunday. Sunday: In combination with gluing up the 8 legs that will be required for the two additional modules, I'll be doing some early spring cleaning and organizing. More lessons learned from the previous City Job will be applied to the actual layout room. Currently the layout is against the west and north walls, but the new modules will be up against the south and west walls as I will have more room that way. In fact, at least one, 3-foot staging module will be on one end, making it easier to set up trains for the industries to be served. This time, I've also decided to attach the modules to the walls. This will mean organizing items in the shop as well as the room next to it as that will be the room that will have the new slot car track. My goal is to work on the two rooms while the legs are clamped and drying. As with any weekend here, some domestic duties will have to take place so my results may vary. So how about you? What do you have planned this coming weekend? let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 22nd to see how well we did. Until then, have a great weekend, keep it safe and as always... High Greens!
Saturday: Is our 36th wedding anniversary... so, I have a few honey-do's-- I have to change out a GFI receptacle in the kitchen, run a snake down our shower drain and I have to look at my trucks front brakes --- fun.... NOT!! Sunday: I hope to continue work on my set of F7's. Perhaps start on my SW-1. Hope Y'all have a great weekend, Wolf
I was supposed to work OT but with Saturdays weather forecast I bowed out last minute. Getting up early so I can lay finish laying ties while having my morning coffee as the sun rises out my shop window. Later in the morning greasing up the 2 cyl paddy tractor and moving some brush outside. Do some cleaning up in the garage and start cutting wood for my future portage layou. Sunday Start building a pair of turnouts along with coffee and sunrise. After breakfast hang a piece of trim for hanging cloaks in the butler's pantry. After that going outside burning brush pile and start moving a dirt pile that lies along path of future goat fence. Cook some ham hocks and cabbage in dutch oven on coals from fire. After dinner continue working on turnouts.
SP Wolf, Congratulations on 36 years of marriage. Do they Honey Do lists get shorter the longer a couple is married?
Emergent work. My chopper needs repair before I can use it again. Couple weeks ago I cut a little off both sides so it would fit in a workbench drawer. I guess I should have clamped the aluminum strip so as not to put a strain on the nutserts. Some small tee nuts should work. Maybe I'll add a self healing insert and a fence/blade support to help keep the cuts a bit more square.
Now you're talking.. maybe a little earlier. I have been to a nut house, not that one though. I see you changed your avatar to Natasha Romanov ( Marvel comics black widow character) nice job !!
