We are on to February and according to a certain rodent from back east, we're in for another six weeks of winter. Sounds like a great excuse to make some dust in the layout room to me.

With the majority of the work done on the D&RGW GP30, I plan to weather the locomotive per the customers request and start the assembly process tomorrow. Those two BNSF CB&Q heritage units may get some decals added as well. Once I close up the shop, I need to head to my "not so local" hobby shop and pick up a few Tam Valley servos turnout sets. I have that one stubborn switch on my #3 module, plus one last servo to install on the same module. The same turnout that is getting a new servo installed also has a low spot on the rail causing some cars to derail on the diverging route. I may just take this module out and off the legs and onto the workbench to get this fine tuning done.

Sunday I plan to work on my Inglenook project. I'm ordering my track turnouts through work today as well as wire and other bits I will need. Small as it is, I'm wiring this for DCC. The little layout will feature two rail served industries. One may be just a team track with ramp and the other maybe a kitbashed Micro Engineering kit painted and signed for Wiggin Locomotive Works. Hey, got to advertise right? Of course with every weekend, domestic duties and date nights usually occur but at our age, they are par for the course!

So how about you? We're seeing lots of great images lately of everything from paint work, layout expansion and even train shows. Keep it up! Your images and updates inspire and encourage fellow modelers. So let us all know what you have planned this weekend, we'll be back on Monday the 6th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, keep it safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Gonna do something. Don't know what yet, but I've suddenly been itching to build something.

Debating on Sunday -- do I watch or do I get more work done in Saticoy - ? That is the question!!
Saturday -- for sure gonna get more done in Saticoy. Finish the grade crossing project. Perhaps start the working grade crossing signal project.

    Thanks,
    Wolf

If all goes well, I am going to install my next LokSound decoder; into my Kato WP F3A (#801). My goal is to have both a red and white Mars light, and white headlamp (the red comes on when loco in reverse). Will use 0402 LEDs for the Mars light (not sure if another 0402; or an 0603 for headlamp)

Once successful, will also drop LokPilots into the two B units (801B and 801C) that run with it, to keep the consist matched.

I have a couple 45 degree freemoN modules I need to add interest to. I have some ideas but are a bit involved plus maybe a larger canvas would be better. A friend suggested adding industrial buildings to one creating a close quarter scene. We'll see. 45s tested2.2.16.jpg
