We are almost there, not only the weekend but the last weekend in February! Anyone who knows me, knows I hate winter here in the Midwest, so seeing February go away is one step closer to spring! I have a pretty busy weekend planned and really hope I can get a lot done since the last few weekends were filled with domestic duties. Saturday I'm in the shop. With the D&RGW GP30 shipped back to its customer, I can focus on the rest of the 2-rail O scale pile of five cars and work on two N scale projects. My goal is to get these last projects done by the end of March so I can pack up the shop in anticipation of our move. I also need to go to my not so local hobby shop and pick up some Tam Valley servo controls. One more for the layout and two for my Inglenook project. Sunday, Ang and Jared will be gone for various activities so I plan to work on both the Inglenook and the layout. I purchased lumbar a few weeks back to build another 4 foot module for the City Job and may start working on that, time will tell. So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Let us know. We'll all assemble again on Monday the 28th to see how we have all done and what we have accomplished. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and... High Greens!
Hmmm, tax prep and filing tomorrow - Sunday is Daytona. So, we'll see what I can get done. Ya'll have a great weekend, Wolf
It is time for the Great Train Show in San Jose this weekend. The Silicon Valley and Sacramento FreeMoN team will be there, with a fantastic layout!
We've been going through a crazy warm spell here in Northern Virginia, setting records with highs well into the 70's. That all ends tomorrow afternoon. I've been working details on several structures, and the concept for scenery on Weaver Junction is starting to gel. Oh, and my wife surprised me and ordered a string of LED lights from my Amazon wish list, so those will be showing up next week. Badly needed too. I need to rough out an idea for a valance.
