Ah the last weekend of of February is here, which means spring is around the corner! Better get those projects done.

Saturday: After two weeks of being sick (I'm still not over it 100%) and bad weather, I'm hopping for a much more productive weekend. My first stop of the day will be to my "not so local hobby shop" to clean them out of Atlas code 55 turnouts. These turnouts are once again, hard to find but my dealer has them. I'm also bringing in my track plan for the City Job 2.0 so I can order track. Since the Atlas code 55 turnouts are hard to find from time to time, I'm switching (no pun intended) to the Micro Engineering code 55 turnouts. Fortunately the GCJ 2.0 doesn't use too many turnouts. I'll still need to use a few Atlas turnouts as they have a wider range and I still need a curved and wye turnout. After getting everything done at the shop, I'll head back and work on a customers GP30 before calling it a day.

Sunday: All three modules are built for the B&M switching layout and the first one which was the Inglenook has all its track and switch motors. The connecting module has four turnouts that finish a siding that started on the Inglenook module and will have three additional spurs to service two or three industries. The final 2-foot module will be the fiddle yard. My new modules need a trip to the sander then track work. While track is drying, I hope to get a few small industries built. Lets hope it is a relaxing day with podcasts and module work.

So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 26th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Saturday: Finish the decaling on my F-7 project. And -- adding on the final few detail parts. Ladder grabs on top of the nose, coupler lift bars, wind screens and horns. After that -- we'll see what I'm in the mood for.

Sunday: Final clear coat and then assembly of the F-7's -- put into service - ?? Hopefully.

Hope Y'all have a great weekend!!

Thursday was the beginning of my weekend. I have an extra long one this week. I picked up where I left off on Tuesday. I ended the day last night by planting more of those trees I made up. Today I will be working on some detail parts for the section I’m working on. I also will be making up some mockups so I can keep moving along. I have a couple structured kits to build as well.

Greetings and happy weekend. The last several weekends I finished the mainline, double track. I am GLAD to be off of that. Which brings me to this weekend. Start the job of wiring. Also, I have quite a few turnouts that now need the machines connected. I presided all of the frogs for switching polarity through the Tortoise machines. I had previously wired the 40% or so of mainline I had already put down.

So, this weekend will be setting terminal blocks, pulling #12 bus wire, dropping feeders, and putzing around w/ paralleling a Digitrax DB150 w/ my DCS100. Time permitting, I may start putting down some ballast and painting track on short sections. I've come up with a "home lab" ballast mix of different brands that I'm anxious to try out.

    Love weekends.
