In Mother Nature's version of the song by The Clash, Should I Stay or Should I Go, I'm wondering if today is snow or highs in the 60's. No worries, We certainly won't Train in Vain, we'll be inside working on model railroad projects.

Well maybe for the most part. My normal weekly routine will continue Saturday as the on-line hobby shop I work for is having a "Everything Must Go" sale. We need to make room for some exciting changes and what better way to make room than to offer our local customers a great deal on an item or two. While most of the store inventory is RC related, there is some model railroad items. My boss also was kind enough to allow me to bring in a car load of RC stuff that I want to sell before the big move. The money I make will go back into Wiggin Locomotive Works and will be a great way to get rid of stuff. That will last all day tomorrow so I doubt I will get any work done in my own shop.

I'm finally done with the DRG&W GP30 for my customer in California. It is just one of the last few orders I'm wrapping up before closing the shop temporarily for the move.

Sunday I plan to finish up a rebuild and decoder install in a Life-Like GP20. I'm happy to report that combined with the rebuild and TCS decoder, the GP20 runs just as smoothly and slowly as an Atlas Geep. I'll finish the install by cleaning up the wiring and placing the shell back on. I also want to work on my Inglenook project as time allows. I'm still playing with track arrangements but I'm close to laying track.

So how about you? What is in store for your weekend? Let us know! We'll assemble again on Monday the 13th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend despite Mother Nature's bi-polar tendencies and as always...

    High Greens!

I'll continue my detail work in industrial Saticoy. Adding power poles, perhaps start weathering the parking lots. And, anything else that suits my fancy.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend,

Bridges. I have 2 bridges I'm working on. Need to get them in to keep the mainline progress going. Sort of like the prototype.... ehh? I have one almost done, and a CVM bridge w/ the floor done. I've learned CVM bridges allow you to place the floor and track while you finish the truss walls. Then the truss walls can be "snapped" in with the bridge in place.

    That helps!

    Happy Friday all

I've got a rocket launch to attend and work today, but I should have some free time this evening. I've got a bunch of detail parts coming from Fifer Hobby, and need to get the buildings closer to done so they're ready for the finishing touches. I also hope to run some trains this weekend, it's been a couple of weeks.
