Yes, you read correctly, it's Labor Day Weekend already. Seams like I just got done picking up from the 4th of July. Regardless, it's time to set our sights on the long weekend and see if we'll accomplish some model railroad projects. Saturday: At the request of my ever patient Angela, I finally got an eye exam appointment for Saturday, smack in the middle of the day, which stinks because tomorrow and all weekend is Railfan Weekend at Conway Scenic RR. I have wanted to attend this for a number of years but have been unable to. This year I have a camera, a Railfan Jeep and time so I may be having fun in North Conway at least on Saturday. Sunday: If I don't make it to North Conway Saturday, this is my back up day. If I had gone on Saturday, this maybe the day I go to the State Fair. Yes New Hampshire has a state fair and yes we actually have tractors and farms. I love fairs and I have not been to this particular fair in probably close to 30 years. I'll gain all the weight I lost on the typical fair food and see the sights. Monday (Labor Day): With all but a few HO model railroad items in Illinois, I'm not sure what I will be doing Monday. I'm still working Part time for the same company I worked for in Illinois so I may work a bit. I'm sure I'll find an excuse however to take Jess on a road trip. So how about you? What do you have planned for this long, Labor Day weekend? Track work, wiring, scenery? Let us know. We'll return on Tuesday, September 4th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great long weekend, play safe and as always... High Greens!
Gonna sound like a broken record - but, here goes: Continue working on my Lark. I have 7 more cars to build or modify (This is out of an 18 car consist). And - perhaps I'll work on other projects - to take a break from the Lark. My new FT's need decoders. Any way - I hope Y'all have a great and very safe weekend!! Wolf
Troubleshooting the trolley layout turnout machine wiring, DPDT switches, and LEDs. Thank goodness I ran all twelve through terminal blocks so I don't have to resolder to correct the routing. Though I think I have one bad switch that will have to be replaced...
In the poker game of HO scale railroading, I'll "see" SP's continued Lark program and raise him one lighting canopy project on my layout that's been going on TOO long, but will see more work this weekend.
I am planning an experimental T Trak module, so on Tuesday, my designs will go to the club for a vote. I am pretty busy this weekend, but I hope to get car sides done for the other coach on the Green Diamond. I already scribed the windows; I just need to cut them out all the way.
