I don't think we'll need the pot belly stove much longer, it's warming up. Trees are in bloom and the days are getting warmer. Must be spring here at Trainboard. That sure didn't slow a lot of you down last weekend. We had a lot of posts for Monday with a lot of impressive work....keep it up fellas! Saturday: My plan this weekend is to get all the domestic duties out of the way first thing Saturday morning so I can spend the rest of the day at home and in the garage and lawn. With winter finally leaving last weekend, the yard needs some attention as does the garage. While all of this is going on, I plan to finish the second coat of clear polyurethane on the B&M mini modules and start painting the legs of the GCJ 2.0 modules. The legs will also be stained black and the module box, both inside and out will be gray. Sunday: Is supposed to be the better of the two days so Angela and I want to get out and see her Dad. I'll need to clean the car up first as it has gotten a bit dirty from hauling modules. While the Focus is in the garage, I also need to fabricate a new "box" that will hold the modules and legs to maximize room as I will be having a buddy come with me to the Ohio N Scale Weekend. And oh yeah, that show is fast approaching, so I have plenty of projects to work on for that show. So how about you? What do you have on the "to do" list for the weekend? Painting, track work, structure building or wiring? Let us know! We'll assemble again on Monday the 30th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always... High Greens!
Saturday: I got wrangled into doing a clinic at the NMRA regional meet at the Orange Empire Railway museum. It will be on detailing N scale locomotives. Man, am I nervous. I have never spoken to an audience before. So -- wish me luck... Then, I will be cruising the facility taking photos of their collection. It's been a while - so, I am looking forward to that. Sunday: - Continuing work on an SP E-7B -- adding 1955 details --- Hope Y'all have a great weekend!! Wolf
This weekend I will get absolutely nothing, nadda, zippo, zilch done in the train room. At Mrytle Beach for a long weekend. I expect Monday to be able to report success on getting nothing done!!! I did bring the Digitrax "Big Book of DCC" with me to brush up on stuff I haven't read in a while.
Lawn work, a visit to the County Fair and continuing work on my control panel. Got the black laminate applied to my 1/8" thick plywood backing and it looks great.
Had been contemplating driving to a swap meet. Four hours, one way. Would be railfanning along the way. However, now they say cloudy and probably rainy. I dunno....
Working on the freight shed and finally getting the roof and fixing the loco house. Biking with my kid and doing some shopping with wife (babysitting while SHE shops). Inviato dal mio BLN-L21 utilizzando Tapatalk
