Well we have done again, another week is about to be finished so it's time to think about everything we want to get done this weekend.

Saturday: With only a few more items left in the work shop, the pace is finally starting to wind down. I actually finished the decals on my buddy Brian's 2-rail O covered hopper last night.

This was a brass hopper he picked up last year at the big Springfield MA show and since it already had decals for one of my favorite roads, it wasn't too hard to convince him to paint it up as shown.

Partially railroad related, in the fact that Jess is my railfan Jeep, I'm spending most of the day with her tomorrow. While railfanning last Friday, her shocks which were already getting bad, got worse. I went ahead and ordered her a new 2-inch lift kit complete with shocks and a new steering stabilizer. So tomorrow will be more of a Jeep day, not a Geep day. Any time I have left will be spent on Brian's last Bloomer covered hopper.

Sunday: Is supposed to be nicer here, sunny and in the 60's, a far cry from the rainy Saturday we expect to get. Jared has two soccer games and since I don't know if I'll get to see him play again, I'm going. My other big plan for the day is to install the Tam Valley turnout controls on my Inglenook. The first show for this compact layout is next Saturday so I need to get cranking on it. If time allows, I have one structure I need to build and paint for it. All in all, a busy weekend for me.

What about you? Will it be a busy weekend for you too? Let us know what you're working on. We'll assemble once again on Monday the 24th to see what we all got done. Until then, have a great weekend, keep it safe and as always...

I've been having daily tree making sessions this week, making about five a day. No pictures of that, nothing new to see here!
Getting really close to end of the semester finals, so time will be limited.

Went to another great Thursday night ops session last night

Not too sure how much I'm going to be able to get done this weekend, but I will be running trains! I got an invite to join a modular group, and they have a show this weekend, so I will be doing that Saturday and Sunday. Not sure if it Will be my cup of tea, but I'm being open minded and I greatly appreciate the invite!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

This will be another weekend without much MRRing. Tomorrow- the wife and I will be taking our granddaughter to Irvine park to ride the 1/3 scale Choo Choo. This will probably be about it for me this weekend.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend,

Oooh, P&W. Very nice. One of my favorite roads.

I was invited to go railfaning in the "U.P." of Michigan, but my friend had to cancel for lack of $. But that's ok. It leaves time for other things.

Hope to get summore scenery work done on my modules. I have some yards to plant, next to my N scale houses. Perhaps a clothesline & T.V. antennas. A garden might be nice too.

Plus I gotta work on my real life scenery for my son's upcoming open house...

Nice double-decker layout a few posts up. This weekend will be a "jack-of-all-trades" affair. Will be working on the passenger station I'm building. The Walthers "Big City" thing, except I airbrushed the brick facade an off-white. Inspired by the C&O White Sulpher Springs station back in the day. Also plan on putting in the "by-pass". I have a dual track mainline. At Albemarle City, I don't have the depth to do both mainlines and a spur that I need, so I am "by-passing" the City by taking the east bound line behind the backdrop wall. So, I'll work on framing that. I'm also "almost" done re-building the siding trestle to my "Ad Hoc Mills" building.

    Chipping away.

My semi-mythical backdrop is still in the works. I put up the 3'X5' one and realized how laughably small it is. I think I'll see about buying some sheets of white masonite and use that instead. I created the "main" too close to the back wall, and now my backdrop has to be very skinny to fit. We'll see what happens!

I really hope to get the rest of the cork glued down and the rails painted this weekend. I don't have much hope for the ballasting, but maybe - who knows!

One "drawback" is that it's supposed to be fabulously great weather this weekend, so lawn chores beckon.

    At any rate, seeya Monday!

I'm getting old. Forgot all about TV antennas. How they used to grace nearly every roof, in so many different sizes and conditions...
