How have you all been? Haven’t seen many of you since way back in 2017. Hope you did good on your modeling this past weekend. We started our weekend early because of a snow storm. Works for me. Friday night was a relaxing night eating pizza, watching my favorite chaps talk Cars on a certain Amazon show all whilst sipping a rum and coke as the snow fell. Saturday I worked on cleaning the common area and workshop. The new modules will be situated on a different wall then they are now so some planning was in order. Sunday I was busy cooking and getting ready for Christmas part two. We had a good time with gifts, slot cars and a game of Monopoly before ringing in the New Year. Sunday was as predicted, the tree and all the other Christmas decorations came down and were stored away until next November. I did leave the outside lights up as the High was just over -3 so I’ll wait for a warmer day to take those down. The Mrs. did let me keep the ROW up from the Christmas Train so it looks like we’ll have train running there most of the winter. All in all a nice quiet weekend to start off the New Year. So how about you? What did you do for the ringing in of 2018? Let us know. We’ll assemble again this Friday the 5th. Until then, stay warm, have a great week and as always... High Greens!
Ha ha. 2017. A million years ago, yet only a day or two back in time. Spent time shuffling stuff around in my "train room". Have some hopes for the future. But more shuffling ahead, to create the necessary space.
I had a pretty productive weekend. Finished my "should have been" project-- An RDC-1 painted in daylight colors. I also worked on the fence that is separating my engine terminal from the industrial complex - still have some touch up work to be done -- photos to follow. The RDC: Hope Y'all had a great and safe New Years weekend!! --- Onward and upward into the new year!! Wolf
Not much done for me. I did get one tree cut but not the pile I need made. I also purchased tw 4” PVC pieces to make two oil tanks for my oil refinery. I think they will do nicely. I placed them in position to see what they will look like.
Happy New Year fellow modelers and lurkers! Hope all had a great holiday. Got quite a bit of track down (80LF) plus put down about 30LF of cork as roadbed in a long tunnel. I've got homasote ordered and waiting on that before I venture back out to visible parts of the layout. I took pictures, but didn't get them uploaded.
