It's not model train related...but...my son bought some "MechWarrior" miniature gaming figures today. They are listed oddly enough within the packaging as "N Scale" or "1/160". They are highly detailed figures...very inexpensive considering...but...LOL....not sure if warrior figures from the 32nd century would fit in anyone's model rr scheme on this or any other board.
well, i have been able for many weeks to make a couple of pepsi cans and a thing of "Goldfish" fit with mine.... so, ya know.....
Well, you could use those figures to build a Hollywood movie set scene..... Maybe on an NTRAK module. Boxcab E50
We have a Renaissance Festival here in Colordao every year so one could do this in scale too outside a small village or a ruin as a conversation piece. Might be a way to get your son more involved in your train layout while doing it too.
that could be a fun hollywood scene related to a movie set thread posted here a while back. could be a funny flat car load getting them delivered. definitely a neat little conversation piece for a show or something.
I have noticed there are alot of war gaming figures of all sizes and shapes out there...for virtually all periods of mankind...and the future it seems...some would seem to be right in our league at 1/160 some even smaller at 1/280 (smaller then Z!) so ya never know what goodies might be out there. Certainly the detailing and painting on these units is very good..considering they are mass produced.
I'm using them for a "Future Train" layout. Of course, the whole thing is still an Idea. But, you could maybe do some work on the people figures and come out with something useable. Some of the boxes have soliders in them, they are 3-4 on a stand.
