If I Modeled in N Scale

    While "cruising" Trainboard this afternoon, I discovered this layout from five or so years ago.
    Looks like an N scale layout that would even fit in my space quite well and provide some nice scenic possibilities (not that I'm actually going to change scales and concept to do this, but again could be a very nice layout).
    I would envision this as a lumbering/mining railroad set in Michigan's upper peninsula with a lumber camp and mine on the upper levels and a sawmill with a minmal great lakes port down on the lower level where the OP had planned to put his main station. This would be the kind of backwater where a great lakes lumber hooker would slip in to load regardless of the presence or lack of docking facilities.
    Equally, this layout could be located further west in a really rugged area or south in the Appalachians.
    There's no way to know if the OP ever finished it or what it might have looked like, but it struck me as a very interesting track plan.

    It does make a person wonder what the outcome was, or is, for this layout.
