Does anyone know if/where I could find color pictures of the Green Diamond tran set that was running in the 1940's? I can find plenty of black and white stuff. Even drawings would be helpful! Thanks!
I would have to say that color films were expensive, and not mainstream in that timeframe. You are gonna be hard-pressed to find anything in color of that vintage. Most photographers saved up for their color films, and used them very carefully, and infrequently.
A quick Denver Public Library search turns up: http://photoswest.org:8080/cgi-bin/cw_cgi?fullRecord+8341+594+9485+1+1 http://photoswest.org:8080/cgi-bin/cw_cgi?fullRecord+8341+594+9484+2+1 This is the place to go to look up vintage stuff of any sort!! http://photoswest.org:8080/cgi-bin/cw_cgi?getBasicTerms+8341+clear
I can't think of where to try. Did this run near urban areas, where their might have been more photographers? It's possible there could be color. After WWII ended, use began to pick up, prices of color film and processing started dropping. Would any of the Morning Sun books be possibilities? Boxcab E50
