As seen in the stolen image below, I would like to simulate water seeping out of the rocks.

I'm looking to have a waterfall but just some moist-looking rocks as a little bit of water trickles out of the cracks in the rocks.

Any suggestions would be helpful. If there is a thread on this topic please point me towards it.

    Thank,
    Gary

I have done a similar thing using a gloss medium. If there is to be any vegetation in the immediate area, use something greener that what is in the general area. Looks like in your photo, there is some kind of moss.

I’ve used Mod Podge Gloss for water effects in the past. I’m very happy with the results I’ve had and will use it on my new layout.

    GREAT INFO guys, thank you.

I'm thinking that since what I see around here in nature, I need to paint the area that I want wet with some black before applying the gloss medium.

    Thank you,
    Gary

In addition to the glossier appearance of wet surfaces, the colors will generally be more saturated, because of the reduced scattering of light reflected from the surface.
