I recently bought a Kato Super elevated V11 set and I sure do like it. I can set it on full throttle and there is absolutely no trouble running around the curves. I even let my 2 year old run the throttle without any worry.

I set it up as a test track to see if I want to use it to replace my curves on my 2 piece 7x10 L layout. I got a little carried away and put in a Kato double crossover. It’s not operational and I’ve had a few derailments on it already. I then figured out two reverse loops using Atlas flex track, but don’t have enough unitrack pieces to put in the Kato turnouts. I’m still testing out ideas on how to lay it out and I have more track pieces ordered, but they are stuck in a snow storm right now.

I got tired of setting it up on my dining room table and then having to take it apart again, so I built an ultra light portable test layout table for it. The table is 3’x8’ and its light enough that I can pick it up and set it in the garage or whatever, plus it was cheap. The only drawback is that it sets my overall layout size to 8 ft so I can’t really try any other ideas. I had to raise the sides up so that I can put another piece of ¼” Lauan on top to keep my grandson from putting his Thomas trains on it.

Those trains look nice coming around the elevated curves!
