I support TrainBoard why don’t you? I’ve been a member of TrainBoard since 2008 and have been a supporter since 2009. I find the amount of information available to be priceless so the $24.00 I donate is a drop in the bucket compared to what I get in return. So this year when it was time to renew (I do the one time non renewable payment), it was not if I was going to renew, but when. The current supporters of TrainBoard can stop reading here. $24.00 is not very much, for the most of us it is an amount that very affordable, but I know the excuses (my response is in italics): I’m on a fixed income. Our household guaranteed monthly income is only $1098.48, the wife works part-time to add an additional $500 or so a month. Yes we have a mortgage, car payment and all the bills that go along with having a house and car. Just can’t afford it this month. Payments can be as low as $2.00/month via PayPal. Less then a cup of special coffee or a couple of 20-ounce soft drinks. I don’t have a PayPal account. Contact TrainBoard via http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/sendmessage.php and ask for an address to send a check. I don’t have a checking account. TrainBoard can take Money Orders, Cashier Checks, etc. It is on the Internet so it is free. Yes is it is on the Internet, but web hosting is not free. A site like TrainBoard uses a large database and data storage cost money. TrainBoard is paying a lot of money to provide you this priceless information. I personal feel that if you are a “Member” of TrainBoard for more then a year then you feel that you benefit from being a member and should pay your dues. I support TrainBoard why don’t you? Respectfully, Gary
It took me many years to add in my monthly "magazine" contibution price of $24 for the first time beginning earlier this year. Why? It was low on the list as there were some life changing events that took priority. I am glad that I can now add in my contribution, but I was also glad there was a benefit without needing the contribution. So when the time is right for you contribute, if not I'll still enjoy your company here. BY the way I love the auto pay feature that comes from my Paypal. Makes it easier to let go of the $2.
