    Hello...
My roundhouse 2-8-0 (acutally equipped with a DCC - sound decoder and the 5-pole motor) is running pretty good BUT in the DCC Controler notches 2-3 up to 6-8 the engine tweets like a little bird. When it runs faster the additional sound is gone. The sound is not allways present.
I have already lubed the motorshaft bearings (and everything else) with no result.
Has anybody a hint for me, where to look for.

    Thanks

Can you run the engine without the tender? In your admirable zeal to care for the engine, you may have overlooked the squeeky wheels behind. A Micro-Mark Truck Tuner is the thing to clean out those truck bearings.

It can be hard to isolate sounds, but try taking a cardboard tube from paper towels or toilet paper and putting it next to the track, with your ear at the end of the tube as the engine goes by. This will focus the audio and you should be able to figure out where on the engine the noise is coming from.

    Thank you for the hint.
