Since the Atlas lightboard replacement is such hit and miss and a very poor system vs Kato's (for example) and since I have a few (4) locos that run so badly with decoders installed, and since i've tried everything to make them perform better (or at all), can they be wired? Can a wire be run from the pad to a location on the motor or wherever to make better contact and maybe cause the poor (there are better words, but there may be children reading this) run? Can a man with two left thumbs and not talent accomplish this? I have all the decoders installed, have had them checked by modelers who know, and with the MP15 which I sent back to Atlas (one is great, the other stinks on ice) which Atlas sent back "repaired," (found out the lie like a cheap rug) no change at all, i need to do something. Help, Doc
Yes, people do that all the time to get a 100% connection. Though I've never had to do it, it should be a pretty easy soldering job. Pad to motor tabs, simple as that.
Check this site out, it's how I've ended up doing all my plug & plays: http://mysite.mweb.co.za/residents/grela/atlaspnp.html Good luck, Richard
