Just substituted the 36"Ball Bearing Wheel set on my Walthers 85' Budd Passenger Car and YES there's
greater free rolling ability. Would the non-ball bearing set cover the same distance down my 2.6 grade? Don't know that answer, but the balls are
pricey and added to the car cost=$expensive car

I don't know about you, but at 32USD List, that was an expensive car before the Intermountain wheels... [IMG]

FWIW - I saw one last weekend, they are very nice cars.

Rob, you absolutely right, it's almost a sin, but I have had such terrible performance with my Bachmann and Rivarossi cars, that I sold them and I didn't want a repeat performance this time around. What am I going to do with the remainding budd cars??Try the
intermountain non-ball bearing type and make my comparison.
