I have 2 undecorated Lifelike SD9s and one GP9 high nose in N scale. :lightbulb:I am looking to change them up to something different:lightbulb:. I have recently been laid off work so cost is an important thing. Links, acticles, pictures, any thing helps. I also dont have a lot of tools to do yet for this sort of thing. Anything advice would be great.

What era/locale/road do you want to build? BNSF still has a bunch of SD9s for yard power. Some have the standard short hood/cab but others have a newer GP cab.

The short hood/cab would be a fairly easy chop of an Atlas GP35/38/40 nose and a small hump behind the cab with styrene.

They also have GP9Bs. There is a kit out there for a UP GP9B but it's slightly different. Basically cover the cab with styrene and take off the battery boxes.

One even has a cab built onto it to make it even more distinct.
