A month a ago or so I posted a message about a wiring problem I was having with my own railroad. Well, now I am posting a message to hopeful help out a friend of mine in our Round-Robin Model Railroad Group.

    Here's the problem:

My friend has brought a Peco Double Slip switch Electrofrog (SL-E390F) in N scale. He wants to be able to use the switch with the aid of two power packs as one of the Peco diagrams has shown. However, the diagram and directions are not very clear to him. I did not see the directions, as he tried to explain them to me over the phone. Since I am more of a visual learner I could probably figure it out if the switch were in front of me, but it was not. Anyway, I was hoping someone who is familiar with wiring these could drop me a line, and I could pass the information on to my friend the next time our Round-Robin group gets together.

    Many Thanks in Advance, -Tony

Tony, I don't do N, but in the absence of any other offers, here is some info from the instructions that came with my Peco HO Electrofrog double slips (SLE190).

The pictures were quite small and were scanned in at 200dpi, hence pixellation and odd line thicknesses. The following is the relevant section of the words.

What isn't too clear from this is that (I think) example 5 is in addition to 4, or put another way you need to imagine 4 is drawn in the middle of 5.

Sorry if this leaves you more confused than before [IMG] . I can see how having it explained over the phone would be such fun :D
