Hello Gang, I'm Brand spanking new to the hobby and have run into my first problem. I just got an NCE Power Cab, MTH K4s #1737 and some Atlas True Track. No problems hooking up the track and connecting the Power Cab. Big Problem getting Loco to work right :angry:. I'm able to get it powered up and running but after I hit F4 to activate the PFA announcement, the bell and whistle no longer work and after awhile, the engine sounds just stop. Does anyone have experience with this new loco and DCC? Any help would be great, I sure don't want to get frustrated and drop the hobby because I got off on the wrong foot. Thanks in Advance. Kevin
That is good advice Kevin, and Welcome to TrainBoard! Things we don't quite understand yet, can get frustrating, but this is a machine, so can be 'fixed'. Try to look at it as learning another computer language. Remember back when that was frustrating too? Old saying: "Don't cuss, call Gus, he will cuss for both of us!"
