Howdy all. I have been into HO for many years off and on and decided to try G Gauge in the back yard. I started building my Rail Yard sometime in November of 2012 so I am a rookie. In the G Gauge forum I will post a link to my blog so you can see where I am now and I plan to update that area with my progress. I am looking for anyone with any ideas for me to please feel free to share them with me. I have already received a great deal of suggestions from folks on another forum board I use and thought I would expand out to get a wider range of suggestions. Thanks Pj
I went to post a link in the G Gauge Forum and it said I need to wait three days. So I will post the link I mentioned above after three days. Pj
Hi Pj, Welcome to the TrainBoard, glad to have you on board. I envy your switch to G. I think a trolley layout in G with hot wire rather than two rail would be neat....
I use the two rail, I have three seperate layouts in the yard. I am starting small on all three to get the hang of it. 1 is about 42' that I run the SD-45 on, #2 is about 40' that I run an RS-3 on and the #3 is a small 15' that I run a Bachmann starter steam loco on. They are all still very raw and work in progress.
Welcome aboard, pjhinde. G scale is fascinating to me. I always wanted to build a layout outside, probably ever since reading that kids book years ago that showed Lionel O guage running all over the outdoors. :startled:
