Hi fellow members, I am Rik de Graaff, 20 years old and live in Holland a.k.a. The Netherlands. My passion is my computers, because I can build them and play around with them. I also love trains, and especially the Japanese bullet trains. I have also a heavy form of autism. I can go with others, but working in a group (with physically people) is not able for me. The reason that I tell this part of my story, is that you'll can understand me better. Well I hope to have a nice stay here. And I am more a reader than a poster, but that seems okay. Kind Regards, Rik a.k.a. rikdegraaff
Welcome aboard, Rik! I think there's quite probably a lot of people like you here already. I know that I've lived and worked with folks with Aspbergers and PTSD, so the notion of being less comfortable with in person interaction isn't unfamiliar. I would ask, if possible at some point, can you share some photos of the trains you see around your area? It's always fascinating to see how things are both different and the same in various parts of the world. Hope you enjoy your time here!
Hi Rik, Welcome to the Train Board, we are happy to have you on board. I also would be interested seeing photos of trains in your area.
Thank you all for the positive replies. I don't have any photo's of trains in my region. That is because I have also a social phobia. I have therapy for the phobia & autism, and every day it goes a little better going outside. My aim is to go to a local trainstation (Arnhem) and make dozens of photo's! But that is not possible yet. It is evening here (8PM), so I am going to relax! Greetings, Rik
Yes I have some photo's from my computers. I will put some photo's here later this day. I'll be back :teeth:
Sorry for the doublepost, but I promised a photo of my computer. Here you'll go, and I resized it for the forum: I build this one myself, and it is a bit dirty. But also messy with all the cables... I have more computers, but this one do I use the most of my time.
Thanks for your compliment. Inside is a SSD and a Intel Core i5 3570K. So it is pretty fast with train simulators, haha. Greetings, Rik
Thank you Spooky for your reply. And thanks to all the others too. I am now going to "explore" the forum, haha. Greetings, Rik
