Is is just me, or has Trainboard made some major increases to either bandwidth or the servers? my biggest problem with Trainboard up thru last weekend was that it seemed incredibly slow. now it responds instantly Michael
I know others also (including myself) had noticed a slowdown recently that has since gone away. One possible reason was just all our new Atlas RR friends joining in so rapidly and talking about what happen so fast and with much passion as we set new record posting several times in recent days and might have overloaded the server for a bit. What you are seeing now is what is normal here. By the way, WELCOME to TrainBoard. Hope you stop by the Fallen Flags forums that tend to have great era photos and conversation that might be useful in your modeling work.
Its been awhile since I was here last, I couldn't post cause it ran so slow, now it seems to be moving at a very nice pace, hope to be able to join in now... Thanks Train Board Robert
Robert we moved to a new service provider yesterday and will be getting a semi dedicated server in the next couple of weeks
LETS SEE!!!! It NO LONGER takes 30 seconds to load the first page and 1 minute to load all subsequent pages!!! Now this is how the internet is supposed to be enjoyed!!! Thanks guys for this wonderful change. I am a very very happy Wildcat right now.
The change to a new server has greatly improved loadup times. SHould really knock down the "load-too-slow" complaints,
