I am sure that the regular visitors to this forum already know about this, but since I just found it and am so excited about it, I had to share ...in case there MIGHT be somebody who does'nt already know about this RR resource !! It is called QStation and has lots of prototype info, history, modeling info, links etc. for several railroads (ATSF is a big one). Go to http://www.qstation.org then hit their ATSF resources button. WOW!! One link gave me a list of ALL diesels ever used by the Santa Fe, when they were manufactured, by whom, and what their road numbers through the years were . Incredible stuff!! Happy researching!! John ------------------ The Santa Fe and Southwestern, Chief of the Southwest!! [This message has been edited by JCater (edited 19 December 2000).]
Yes, John, I have that site bookmarked. It is great Anyone who has not seen it should have a look. ------------------ Alan Curtis. Moderator. Member #12 The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.alancurtismodels.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
I've definately got it under "favorites." They allowed me to research in one evening what would have taken about a year without all of the resources in one spot. So this is what prototype modeling is all about!! So much for free freelancing!! John ------------------ The Santa Fe and Southwestern, Chief of the Southwest!!
QStation is awesome!!!! I can't believe in all my web searching I never ran across it. Thanks so much for posting this.
No problem!! I was overawed by the site myself. It will be a second home for me as I develop the layout! Happy Modelling!! John
