    good! i'm glad it worked for you, joe.

    i saw this done with an atlas N scale loco (as was indicated earlier in the post). it's not too hard to do, as you found.
    now SHORTENING the mechanism was more challenging! but it worked too. i emailed you a picture (to microtrains address) of the result.

    just surfed thru this thread but I'm missing a photo of the finished unit, do you have the loco completed and painted?

    Here is my GP40 build by David.

    Note all the detail, BLMA see through fans, lift rings, cut levers, mu hoses, windshield wipers, and the snow plow. Its probably my most detail engine.

    Nice John, real nice! I'm jealous. Can't wait until AZL announces the CSX SD70 and the auto racks.
