Thanks guys for the kind words. My video's get very "grainy" when i transfer them to youtube and you loose a lot of the quality....sorry.. We're gearing up for the show next week, and scenery still continues to grow every day... Tony B.... Wasatch Z Club
Here's Loren Snyder's 3x6 foot Z-Bend Track End module connected to the BAZ BoyZ modules at the Great Train Expo (GTE) this weekend. We ran an MTL GP35 consist up the 2% grade pulling 8 AZL Bethgon Coal Porters. His module's inner track is an "M", looping back towards the Z-Bend interface, back to the end again and then back to the Z-Bend interface.
Jeff Great videos of the BAZ Boy's!!! Wow you guys have one heck of a huge layout, and with some seriously big landscape!!!! I Love it!! WE here at the Wasatch Z Club also participated in a show over the past weekend at the historic UP Train Station in Ogden, Utah. Here's a video we shot of our trains running.. Enjoy!!! Tony B... Big yes and getting bigger. That nice scenery is Loren Snyder's 3x6 end and 2' 45 degree module with 2000+ handmade trees. We're pretty much California hills. Brown grass, some ground scrub brush, a few oaks. I had to put a growing density of trees on the end of my Wye to better blend in the the tree hugger modules. Nice back drop there Tony.
Nice modules Tony! The scenery looks just right for those long trains you are running. I hope you bring them to the NTS this summer!
Loren i really like the video and of course your trees are fantastic... I'll be saving this thread now so i can keep this great tutorial!!! Tony B... Wasatch Z Club
The Steve Gibbs of the Zo Cal group just edited the GTE show from December. Take a gander at it please and, relax a little. Sit down, take your shoes off.
That's nice to see my ALASKA RR freight running the rails. I bet Harald of FR would enjoy seeing his grainers right behind the engine. Robert
Calgary Supertrains Show 2008 Greetings all, I finally got around to updating my web page with pictures and two videos from my Z-bend Track layout at the Calgary Supertrains show this year. The videos are both higher resolution than Y-Tube at about 140MB each, so may take a while to download. You have to Save As to your Desktop as the server does not stream the files. Video following train: http://www.ee.ualberta.ca/~mullen/train_files/Supertrain2008_2.avi. Video of all layout: http://www.ee.ualberta.ca/~mullen/train_files/Supertrain2008_3.avi
Tim, the videos are very nice. Even thought it took a long time to download the videos, I really like the better quality of the video. I can see the details better. Good job.
