HAHA Is that all you've got? A little red caboose? Piece of cake!!!!!! Just kidding....I think this will be the HARDEST one yet!!
OK, so far your hints and clues have confirmed what I was pretty sure of anyway. You still left about 2/3rds of the US, the three coasts have been cut off, and the location of the caboose looks dry anyway. Most cabooses with roughly centered cupolas were east of the Rockies. ATSF had extended vision cabs that were red. Not SP, UP, BN. NP, WP, GN??? Else it could be anybody else's to the east.
Up, down and around. Darren wouldn't just pick some caboose in the middle of nowhere (would he?). So I looked at various and sundry places where a caboose might be: Not Cumbres & Totlec, not Durango & Silverton (so far as I can tell). So I tried other places, no cigar. I do keep finding obscure locations tho. (evil grin), Really obscure). I'll wait for a narrowing of the area..
Hint #1 He doesn't know Darren very well, does he! :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes:
Hint #2 It is a nice red roofed caboose; but what color is on the sides I wonder? :tb-ooh: :tb-ooh: :tb-ooh: :tb-ooh:
But I'm thinking that I am beginning to THINK like him!! Does UP 25408 ring a bell??? Oh and the color is YELLOW!!!!!!!!!! There is what appears to be an abandoned rail bed just to the WEST of it though!
Dang! How do you know this stuff?!? =) Now that I know the location and see the picture, I went right past this caboose last year on vacation! -Mike
