A wye... hmmm... Could that also be in the NAME of the place? Wye-oming (Wyoming), Wye-reka (Yreka)...
Hint #1 "Wye" Scott, whatever do you mean by that truthful statement... :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin:
Just above the wye is a fairly distinctive purplish colour; combined with the hot look, the lighter brown yards around the houses, and the brown road... I'm flying over Zambia, and the area around Chisamba (follow the rail lines north of the Capital, Lusaka) has just about the right colours. Another spot has the right trees, and a third spot has the right houses... So I like southern (but not South) Africa for this one... Now if only Google Earth was a little quicker so I could actually find it!
Well, I think it's just too poor to be Australia or most parts of South America. I've wandered across large chunks of southern Africa, and not found it; which doesn't mean it's not there; just that I'm not seeing it. <rotates image by 38 degrees> hmm Hot, Poor, Tree covered, Not flat, Isolated, no large bodies of water. Not the continental USA
Well, it does narrow it some. Alright, I've followed train lines across: congo (S) democratic republic of the congo (S) gabon (S) kenya (S) somalia (S) uganda (S) rwanda burundi zaire zimbabwe angola malawi tanzania namibia (N) mozambique (N) botswana (N) south africa (N) .. Without finding it. So either it's not in any of them there African nations, or it is and I overlooked it. :tb-confused: (Countries with (S) lie across the equator. Countries with (N) lie across the tropic)
