<font color="336633">Well here is another one of my kitbashes, a GATX SD38-2, which was leased to the Burlington Northern.

I dont remember if I have posted this here before but if i did it was a Looooooog time ago.

I just dragged this out of storage, and its not the best of bashes, several rough edges.

The hardest part of this was milling the fuel tank down, but I have access to a milling machine.

It was bashed from an Athearn SD40-2 and is a dummy

    Way cool!!

Have you ever thought of getting a powered chassis for this diesel?

<font color="336633">I may do now, when I used to run it at the local club it was always in a consist of several locos, and the power packs couldnt handle more than about 3 powered locos.

now with my switching layout in the making it would make sence to have it powered as its the kinda small power I need.

    I want a milling machine!

I have a short fuel tank SD40-2 on hold myself. No real reason other than I havn't gotten around to painting it yet. I found cutting the Athearn tank down with a razor saw wasn't too hard - but I didn't make the cuts really square - a file and then some body filler and then lots of sanding sorted that out.

    I want a milling machine!
