I have seen ads for HO scale nudists, and have been looking for N scale nudists. Wonder how difficult it would be to de-clothes-bash a bathing suited figure into a suitless bathing figure?

I model the middle 1950s- transition era as far as steam-diesel. But what kind of transition era is there as far as nudism, and differing relation to railroad scene in different time periods? I suppose nude figures themselves wouldn't be much different from one era to another, but the social setting would change. Skinny dipping in an isolated pond would be era appropriate from BC to maybe 1950s. In late 20th century, isolated ponds became few and far between in areas near civilization...and out railroad tracks, but on the other hand, exhibitionists became more daring and/or --- what's the word for "who cares?"
A scene of 1960s/1970s Santa Fe "surf line" down the Pacific Coast between LA and San Diego passing a nude beach could be prototypical.
I don't have my N scale nudists yet, and I'm not going to post any prototype pictures here on this particular prototype.

Well I did see in my Local Model Train store a rather Rude little model of two young lovers going for it on a Picnic table and yes it was in N-Scale.
I also Saw a Purple cow with " Milka" advertised on it in the middle of a normal heard of cattle.

I've never done this. But must admit I've seen it on a few other layouts. There's usually some little humorous scene, tucked away on most layouts I've ever visited.

I use signs. Here is my "Battleboro Funeral Home." The catchy motto or slogan, "We're the last ones to let you down."

I _think_ that in general you need to be creative to be a modle railroader. I _think_ that in general creative people have an "interesting" sence of humor. As I tell potential dates:

One of the museums here in town has a model railroad with a group of guys who work on it. I'll have to ask them if they put in any funny scenes.

This one is only a joke to myself and my son - no one else will realize it is a joke. My son and I used to eat at a restaurant owned by the CP in North Bend in the Fraser Canyon, here in British Columbia. This was a genuine "beanery." Crews would often eat there before and after a trick - and heck - during a trick.

The restaurant was open to the public but because it was off the beaten path, you had to know about it - so the public was mostly locals. What was great about the restaurant was that the front windows were about 10 feet from the passing tracks going buy. So my son and I have sat eating while spectacular CN and CP long freights have blown by, while the Rocky Mountaineer and the Via have idled by, and the rare American Orient Express has appeared.

Unfortunately the restaurant was unionized which meant when the hourly increase was asked by the employees - the waitress's that CP felt was to excessive - CP just closed down the restaurant.

"Daisy" was one of the waitress's there. She had a special personality, not to out going but more in the line of a "ditzy blond" type personality - she wasn't blond. But my son and I always enjoyed her stories and enjoyed her personality.

To honour "Daisy" we are putting a restaurant on the layout in the "Frasier" canyon called Daisy's.

I'm building the "Borracho Canyon Railroad". That translates from spanish to 'drunk'. I have lots of beer cars that are always going to the Beer Festival. The towns on it are named after the streets that I and my buddies live on. Buildings will be named after family members. Boxcars will have the kids names on it (Alexis Fine Dolls, and Parker Toys).

Vignettes (little scenes) will include aliens, and live insects (the layout is in the garage). Will have an army base commanded by General John Winger (Stripes fan anyone?). Ammunition building with red flickering lights, about to explode. Army guys surrounding Red's Common Unistic church. Many more, but still in the basic scenery mode for now.

    Cheers!

Two friends of mine Mike and Dave built a layout together.

The fuel refinery had big red letters on the side of a storage tank which read "MIKE'S GAS".

Welcome choops. LOL! I hope none of the beer gets out of the cars and into the engine. [IMG]

I moved this little piece off the layout to photograph it more easily....
Convertible with 3 sweet young ladies, and their watchdog maiden aunt pulls into the filling station to asking directions.

The gas pump attendent starts to help them out but the grease monkey wants to help too, and scope out the ladies.

But the station owner sees everybody is neglecting their work, so HE comes out to help the carful of ladies himself!
Soda vending machine is not a "Coke machine" but a DOCTOR PEPPER machine....East Texas regional reference.

Nit Pickers' Union Hall (local of the United Farm Workers of course)

Note: no union carpenters, plumbers or sign painters were employed by the Nit Pickers...

I'm going to try to add something like this sign at the entrance to my Army base. Not sure if you'll be able to read it in N-Scale, though.

Can you find 7 "irregularites" and/or references? Parker is my son's name, that doesn't count. They aren't in the seal either, so don't look there.
