I am trying to run my Swift roadrailers and it seems the front runner coupler droops a little. They have the Accumate coupler on them and I have had to cut the wire below just to clear switch frogs [IMG] .Naturally I HATE ACCUMATES   .HAs anyone tried to install a micro-train coupler on these yet?And if not would one even work on it.I haven't had the time to mess with it yet and was wanting to get a heads up before I started this project. Thanks

    Clint,
according to George @ deluxe, a conversion to m-t won't work. Not sure why, but he's been running a 96 unit TCS at his so cal ntrak, so he must know whatchatalkinboutwills!! :)

as far as coupler droop, I thought this was only on the older Cripple Crown stuff, and that D-I had worked things out with the latest release. I would have posted this earlier had I known. sorry.

I was told by D-I to use a rat tail file and enlarge the hole in the couplermate that the first trailer uses. This is a tight fit, and "pushes down" the front of the couplermate.

I've had mixed results with this, found that using a lokey with a "low" coupler helped with uncoupling issues, especially on N-trak, where the joints between modules can be troublesome.

you can pull the coupler pin out completely on the accumate coupler, wont affect performance in any way

120 trailers will take you a while to set up (been there, done that, got the T-shirt). The D-I box is a pain, I recently put my set into Aztec pizza boxes, seems to work well.

I hereby challenge you to a Swift Vs. TCS race at Galesburg :) Loser has to wear a t-shirt of the winners RR the rest of the show :)

now guys i have the perfect shirt for the loser to wear, it is a xxxl bnsf t-shirt that has been to every show that i can remember from the last few years and will probably be at galesburg also, it has several old nasty food stains and soda pop stains and a few holes but still wear well. clint you know the one i'm talking about and ed, just a hint about it, well i gotta get it from the king first! :D
