Hi all, just wanted to let you all know that I am truly excited to have found your forums. I have been a N&W fan since the late eighties, early nineties when I used to take the NS excursions from Chicago to Fort Wayne, IN behind the A and the J classes. I also enjoy the NKP, as I work a passenger train behind ol NKP 587 here in central Indiana. I haven't started the pike yet, but I've built a nice collection of steamers, coal cars, and structures. Looks like I finally found a place to waste some more of that precious time, he he... ;)

    Hi Black Cloud,
Welcome aboard! There is a lot of time spent at TrainBoard (we prefer not to use the term "wasted"). I enjoy the N&W items too, although I missed most of them.

You are a welcome railroader to the TrainBoard Black Cloud! I would enjoy seeing photos of your engines if you can post some here. Are you planning your layout for HO or N scale?

HO scale is my choice. I will post some as soon as figure out how to! I take a lot of photos for a buddy of mine that sells engines and rolling stock on Ebay. He started it as a hobby, and now its his full time business. My fave of my engines is a J class that I repainted, as I haven't seen many models that closely match the scheme, save for the modernized 611. I also have a beautiful Y6B that I haven't weathered yet, so I will post a pic of that when its finished. Oh, and I almost forgot, I've got a limited edition Athearn model of the NKP 587 Mikado, the one I often conduct behind. She's a beaut.
