Gunderson 53' Husky Stand-Alone Well Cars:

    OK, here is the DEAL:

If a response is high enough, we could see 53' Stand Alone Gunderson Husky's.

Understand that the smallest radius track that this 53' Gunderson would be able to negotiate would be the R220mm curve. The well car would de-rail on the R195mm radius track. Think before you act!
    --------------------------------------------------------
Harald Freudenreich of Freudenreich Feinwerktechnik, in Germany, has stated he would make this well car in Z scale if he gets enough Want-Need-Desire for it.
    -------------
If you are interested in owning some Z scale 53' Gunderson Husky Stand-Alone well cars, please voice your numbers here or contact Harald via email and let him know. I will be in contact with him to keep track and up to date on this possible Z scale future release!
53' Gunderson Husky's came in yellow with TTX.
    -------------
Not sure about design changes, but Gunderson also made a 53' All Purpose Stand Alone well car. Could handle containers and trailers. If it is not too much change, perhaps Harald might do the 53' AP Husky too.

53' All Purpose Gunderson Husky's came in yellow TTX, and FEC had yellow Stand-Alone AP and 3 drawbar units.
    -------------
Please, I encourage all of you to chime in. Who knows, we might be able to convince Harald to make the 3 articulating, 53' Gunderson Maxi IV's

Maxi IV's came in blue with Pacer Stacktrain, brown with BNSF, and yellow with TTX.
    --------------
Look forward in hearing from you!

    CLOSED!

Due to the lack of Support the possibility of having Freudenreich Feinwerktechnik produce a Z scale 53' Stand Alone Gunderson Husky is now closed! I do want to thank each Z scalers who voiced an opinion to have this Intermodal Well car made!

I'm still interested in enclosed AUTORACKS. Anyone willing to make them?

That's supposed to be the next rollingstock release from AZL after the long lost CoalPorters. I think Rob Kluz might even have said this Summer of Fall release at some point. That's just from my very poor memory though.

    Randy
PS - Jeff, if you talk with Jim Manley at all this weekend, tell him to call or email me, please.

Very bad news about the 53' Husky, Tim. It would be nice to have a bit MORE intermodal variety.
Maybe now YOU can take up the project?
    :teeth:

    Randy and Jeff,

The Autoracks are AT LEAST a year out. It's going to be eight months (from January?) just for prototype development, and THEN in for approvals and tweaks, and THEN into production. I'm thinking we'll be fortunate to see them by NTS '08 in Anaheim. This is of course assuming that we EVER see rolling stock from AZL. As far as I know, no firm agreements are as yet in place for manufacturing.

But I could be wrong. I HOPE I'm wrong.

Sorry guys, I hold no loyalty in Z where we just don't get enough variety. It's first come, first bought (unless it is outrageously priced).

I've waited over a year. Another tests my limits for something I want. But if they are $75 -$100 a piece (like some of the rolling stock can be), then I'll likely only be able to get one. I'd like at least 2. 3 or 4 would be nicer but they have to get down to $40 ish.

So it's either AZL get's Bowser to get what ever relationship issues they have out each others minds and onto money, get Uncle Will to use his pull at Bowser (where he get's his cars from) or some other indie.
