    Howdy!

Former Brakeman/Conductor on BNSF Oregon Trunk.

Can someone please tell me what the "T" stands for on the track speeds? F=freight, P=passenger, F=???

    Thanks!

Welcome to Trainboard. Did you mean "T". On road vehicles "T" is for up to 118 MPH.

"T" Is for the Talgo that Washington State DOT/Amtrak runs here in Wa/Or.
I think it's rated for 79mph, otherwise they'd need more crew members per the FRA?
