Well after a mad dash to the hobby shop and some fast track laying tonight was the inital run of my model RR. Nothing much a oval to start 1 engine and 1 car but it worked...... Thanks for all your help in answering all the questions i had. Now the next set of questions will begin. what a good feeling to see that engine move for the first time.................

A smile creeps over my face as I reminisce about first running my steamers on some track I quickly laid down. I know the feeling.

Yes, it was over 60 years ago now, but I still remember the thrill of seeing my first set of drive rods move for the first time.

I think my Dad was as mesmerized as I was, because we spent about an hour just watching the engine go around and round!

You know, I have had a number of diesel engines, and I can not even picture anything about the first one, or any of them that comes to mind. There was nothing to watch.

Steamers have it ALL !!! :D
