This is just gathering parts at the moment. Start with an old boley water tanker. Remove the cab via the lone screw behind the front bumper. After cab removal look it over to see what mods will need to happen in this case i'll need to build a completely new frame for the tank and cab. Now deciding what cab i wanted to use was that hard went on the net looked up fire tankers. Found a photo i'll be using as a base. Parts hunting in my stash came across a wiking peterbilt tractor stole the cab for this project the sleeper will go to another project. Test fit the Pete cab on the boley chassis to get a feel for the truck and see what mods need to be done hence finding out I need to build my own chassis. Then dry fit laid it up with the light bar just say on top of the cab. This will become a red with white trimmed tanker the tank will get stripped then redone with a bare-metal foil matte aluminum tank as in 1979 chrome wasn't the in thing yet. Will also be changing out the rims 2 hole steel rears painted red with silver bead, 10 hole disc Steel painted to match rear rims front
And anyone that wants the 4 door international cab for a project. Trade for an athearn kenworth or freightliner cab plus standard USPS shipping.
try this again see if I can get this 6 second light show up YES YES YES it lives enjoy these will be the lights for my emergency equipment like this tanker and the following medic units
Slight change of this tanker. 1 will not be using the Pete cab/hood. 2 have disassembled it a little. 3 will be using an older international cab in line with my locale and region choice. So this where it's headed now
Okay behind on this but the freightliner cabover is taking a lot of my time did a small amount of work in it. So here's the update on this truck . It'll get lights in the grill. Enjoy
Okay thought i posted these updated pics so here they are. Need to do a little touch up asap had a little bleed thru on the hood.
