well i have had this done for a couple weeks now and i thought i would get some pics up of it, like i said it is the only bnsf i like and i think it is because so many are disgusted with it!!!! btw i am taking offers on it if interested.
While others may like it, I think it's rather attractive. Too modern for my tastes, but still a nice looking locomotive. Are those MicroScale decals, or something else? Jeff Augsburg & Concord R.R. (a fictional shortline in Central Illinois) http://wWW>PEGNsean.net/~revnjeff
Mitch, Another excellent paint job, I think it looks great and there would not be many modellers out there who have one but I'm sure there are those modellers like me that appreciate such great work.
Mitch. I going to join the few that like it. I think it looks great. It isn't one of my favoriate roads but I would take it anyway.
Mitch, I think that is a great paint job and scheme. I wish I could do something like that Do you use an airbrush or a handbrush? Matt
it's nice. I have no idea why people don't like it. Makes a change from those ugly orange and green locos. hehe.
Nice job! I really like that paint and I wish I could see the one in real life. Marlin Thorman Check out my homepage about the Pacific Northwest!
Mitch, Once again, outdoing yourself! You didn't by chance install walkway lights and such, did you? As N credible as Colonel's Mopacs are, I'm surprised your didn't go all 9 yards! Anyways, nice BarfBonnet! Marlin, Welcome aboard!
Now that's a paint job! Although I'm a bit surprised that it doesn't have an eagle on the long hood Tim
I am not a BNSF fan (classic ATSF fan) but that is one of the nicest paint scemes I've seen yet. Real classy. I'm not real hip on the term "barf bonnet" but I can see how it applies. The evolution of paint scemes is interesting to follow.
Coyote ugly, IMHO, but a very nice paint, decal & paint job. I take it you enjoy needling BNSF fans...... If so, you're hitting the nail on the head. Better looking than that Tyco-inspired Heritage II mess.......
I'm hearing lots og positives and few nagatives on the paint scheme... In fact, I quite prefer it. Anyone remember Braniff airlines.. how all their planes were painted differently... sure made spoting their planes fun! It would be nice to see a raod do the same with their engines i.e. 3 or 4 schemes. Won't happen though...
It seems that between the patch jobs, great pumkin, and executive scemes BNSF may fit that 3 or 4 criteria. Ok, so some of those are very limited paint or being repainted (or sold off) but they still count. I supose thats why mergers make for good modeling. Variety is always a plus.
that s a great paint job, i think its a really nice paint scheme, i dont see why its called vomit bonnet really. great work!
One of my all time favorite BNSF engines. As for diversity of paint schemes. I thought I had seen a lot in the early years of CSX but I think BNSF has beat that. (if you count the different types of lettering and patch jobs that have been used.) That diversity makes for some neat modeling too. Got to love it!!!
