Since I've added a third industry and expanded the first, it's starting to come together. I still need to get the mainline in but at least now I've got the track to do it. Now the work really begins!
John, That alien ship hovering over the chemical plant has me a bit concerned. Should I call out the black helicopters?
Balou, I will tell you this, when I saw your first picture above, I had to check whether I was in the HO or N forum.... looking good.
I can't believe I've been working on this for years and this is as far as I've gotten. I've done more in the last year than in the previous five (odd side benefit of divorce). Recent challenges and parties have really built a fire under me but I still have no clue how long it will take me to do what. Once I get the main in I'll beable to actually use the layout, not just pull in and out of the industries. I'll keep plugging away, you know what they say, "Slow and steady wins the race."
Balou Line, looking good! Keep on plugging, building the model RR is a zig-zag line but it's worth it.
I'm often asked about my construction equipment. The CATs are micro Hot Wheels. The others are Micro Machines, with a couple of the Bachmann pieces too.
Looking real good John! The best way I've found to keep up the momentum is to keep the projects (and expectations) small. The more progress that I made (even small), the more desire I found to keep going. If the momentum stalled, then it was very hard to get going again. Please keep showing us your progress.
No doubt. My problem is focus. I have three industries under construction and still trying to get the main line in. At the same time my brain is trying to design the next 6' section. Well, never a dull moment in railroad land! FOCUS JOHN, FOCUS!!!
